I have been a hairstylist for 20 + years and decided to open my salon 5 years ago during a pandemic because why not. Gulp! It’s been a terrific ride and I haven’t looked back. I enjoy all aspects of hair and love a great pixie cut and grey blending. I have worked in several salons in different states as well as worked on movie and tv sets. I’m Brenda, a professional hairdresser with over two decades of experience in the industry. I have a particular passion for working with clients who have curly hair and take great pride in creating unique and personalized styles for each of my clients. I specialize in highlighting, corrective coloring, root touch-ups, as well as women’s and men’s haircuts. Over the years, I have built a local clientele who appreciate my attention to detail and friendly demeanor. I love my job and feel fortunate to have met so many wonderful people throughout my career.

I’ve been a dedicated hairstylist for 24 years, starting my journey as a Paul Mitchell student. Originally from the Northeast, I grew up just outside of Philadelphia before moving to Austin, Texas, where I was introduced to Aveda. This led to an amazing journey of becoming a color specialist and working alongside top stylists, including Allen Ruiz.

My career has taken me from the salon chair to the fashion world, including New York Fashion Week. I played a key role in opening salons on the West Coast while styling in La Jolla and have also owned my own business. After moving back from California, I became a cosmetology educator at Aveda, sharing my expertise with the next generation of stylists.

Now booth renting at Yellow Door Salon and Honey Hair Lounge, I specialize in balayage, lived-in hair, and precision men’s taper fades. In 2022, I was honored as Best Hairstylist of Dripping Springs. My true passion lies in making people feel beautiful, confident, and happy with every visit to my chair.

With over 36 years of experience, I feel confident expressing that I am a seasoned hairstylist who has honed a unique, artistic approach to hairdressing. 

I trained in the iconic Dessange Academy of Paris, where they mastered the intricate French balayage technique, bringing a touch of European elegance to every color service.
